How do we provide CéDé® egg food to psittaciformes (parrots)?

Tuesday 1 January 2013 in the category Feeding

Psittaciformes (grass parakeets, agapornids, neophemas, large parakeets and parrots) are in general less accustomed to ingesting egg food than canaries, for instance. The egg food can therefore be made more attractive in various ways to obtain a good ingestion.

If slight moistening with a little water does not suffice, the egg food must be mixed with a little sprout seed, e.g. katjang idjoe (mung beans), rasped carrots or apples, finely chopped rose hip, etc.
